This 21 acre park is the oldest park in the Terre Haute Park System, located in a historic neighborhood. It features a horseshoe court, picnic shelters, enclosed pavilion, playground, and tennis courts.

Deming Park is 177 acres of green spaces for relaxing, shelters for picnics, an enclosed room for rental, a miniature train to ride, the magnificent Oakley Playground. You'll also find a softball field, tennis courts, and a frisbee disc course and even a pond for fishing.

The Wabash River serves as a backdrop for this 145 acres park near the downtown area. Enjoy meandering down the Riverwalk in the park, which will soon be part of the trail system in Terre Haute. Fairbanks is quickly becoming known as the festival park in Terre Haute.

The Hulman Mini-speedway is a 1/20 mile dirt track, and is home to the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association. The Quarter Midgets, driven by 5 to 16 year olds, race at the track from mid-April-October. Track schedule and additional information can be found at thqma.com. Admission to the track is always FREE.

Educational conferences, conventions, concerts, stage shows, sporting events, banquets and dances are only a few reasons for visiting Hulman Center. The arena is home court for the Indiana State University Sycamores basketball teams, Broadway plays, and nationally known performes. Seating capacity in the arena ranges from 2,600 to 11,000 with the event dictating the configuration.

Walk, run, bike or roller blade your way down the National Road Heritage Trail. A beautiful 7-mile stretch of paved trail makes the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. Jump on the trail at the Twigg Rest Area on US Hwy 40 at Hunt Road. An additional 12 miles of trail are planned to be completed in 2007.
