2019 was an exciting year for our community. In conjunction with the many exciting projects, initiatives and momentum garned, Terre Haute – Vigo County played host to five State Championships where we welcomed athletes and professionals in cross-country, chess, gymnastics, soccer and swimming and two regional championships for cross-country and basketball. Vigo County also hosted two National Championships for the USAC Quarter Midget Racing Dirt Nationals and the NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships. With all of this being said, Terre Haute – Vigo County has become an event-based hub and will continue to provide unique experiences for our visitors. The excitement generated in and around these events have granted Terre Haute a seat in the top 10 college towns in the country. The vital relationships we have with our higher education institutions and their talented students have given Terre Haute – Vigo County the opportunity to host events at this magnitude. We look forward to continuously enhancing our educational assets and we can’t wait to #SeeYouInTerreHaute in 2020. -David Patterson, Executive Director of the Terre Haute Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Comments are closed.
