Coffee Shops

Terre Haute offers a plethora of local coffee shops that are a favorite among college students in the Wabash Valley. If you’re looking for local spots with free Wi-Fi, coffee shops like Climbing Café, Federal Coffee, Gingersnaps, Java Haute and Little Bear,  are an absolute must. They offer a classic coffee house feel with calming environments that will encourage you to be your most productive self. Get a group together so that everyone can sit, get their homework done, and drink some delicious local coffee.

Library

The Vigo County Public Library is a go-to spot for anyone needing to get work done. Filled with every resource you could possibly need, it functions as a great place for college students to do research. The large building offers many places to work that offer privacy and a quiet environment. The library also has computers that are open to the public for anyone to use! Support your local library by using all the amazing resources it offers to advance your work.

Museums

It may not seem like an option at first, but museums can make wonderful places to do homework! They offer quiet and calming environments that you can’t get at many other places. Sit yourself down in front of your favorite painting or exhibit at the Swope or the Vigo County Historical Museum and get busy! Museums foster inspiration for whatever you’re struggling to get done! To see a full list of museums, check out our website.

Parks

While they may not offer Wi-Fi, the parks in Terre Haute can still make beautiful homework spots. There are plenty of park benches in the many Terre Haute parks that will make wonderful make-shift desks. Head over to Deming, Dobbs, Voorhees, Hawthorne, and many other parks to enjoy nature while also finishing up that last-minute essay for class. Restaurants

Plenty of restaurants in Terre Haute offer areas to study for everyone! Grab a table at Grand Traverse Pie Company or Panera to enjoy a meal while also getting stuff done! It can be hard to concentrate when you’re hungry, but at these locations, that’s never an issue. You can bring a group to study with or come solo. Either way, you’ll be in a productive environment with some delicious food.
