Fall & Winter Events in Terre Haute

With fall and winter fast approaching, recreational and sport activities change as fast as the new, seasonal weather. Don’t let the change in weather keep you away. We hope to see you in Terre Haute for all of our fall and winter activities!
At LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, our events outlast the seasons. Visit the course for one of its many cross country races held throughout November. Visit laverngibson.com for a race schedule and more information.
September 28 & 29 – Annual Steve Witt Memorial Gathering Powwow
Visit the Vigo County Conservation Club and enjoy a day of Native American music with entertainment from professional tomahawk throwers.

October 4 & 5 – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Homecoming
October 5 – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Homecoming
October 5 & 6 – Pioneer Days at Fowler Park
Step back in time during the annual Pioneer Days at our 19thCentury Pioneer Village. Experience wagon rides, music, live-action demonstrations, authentic cuisine, vendors and more. 
October 12 – Indiana State University Homecoming

December 2 – Deming Park’s Annual Christmas Kick-off
Ring in the Holiday season with a 6:00 p.m. Christmas kick-off! 
December 6-8 – Miracle on 7th Street
Be a part of the nostalgic Miracle on 7thStreet, a downtown Terre Haute event that welcomes vendors, food, music, a holiday lights parade and a visit from Santa Claus! It truly encompasses the spirt of the holidays.
​The holidays also include candy cane hunts at Deming Park, night walks at Fowler Park and much more family fun activities.  Please visit our calendar for more Terre Haute events. As always, we hope to “See you in Terre Haute.”
