We’ve covered shopping and recreation so far in our three-part Summer in Terre Haute series. For the final part, we’d like to show you our dining assets. Restaurants in Terre Haute are working extremely hard to make sure their customers are comfortable as they adapt to everything that is going on. After weeks of carry-out, they’re finally able to open their doors and offer indoor seating. Making sure their customers and employees are safe is a top priority for these local food places. From food, to drinks, to sweets, we want to make sure you’re staying safe while enjoying the many different local restaurants Terre Haute has to offer.
With Terre Haute opening back up, many restaurants that are considered Terre Haute staples are too. While take-out is still an excellent option at times, it feels good to enjoy a meal out when you can. If you want to start your day off right, Cackleberries offers a homemade breakfast and lovely hospitality. Enjoy some delicious pancakes or a piping hot skillet at this local breakfast restaurant. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so start it off by supporting a Terre Haute staple. If you’re looking for a fun and casual place for lunch, tons of places offer dine-in not just indoors, but they also have lovely outdoor seating. 7th and Elm, The Copper Bar, Real Hacienda and Wise Piesall offer a flavorful mix of food and drinks that you can enjoy while basking in the sun. From greasy burgers, to New York style pizza, to tacos bursting with flavor, you can now enjoy lunch in the restaurant and not just at your kitchen table. If people have missed anything during this time, it’s being able to have a night out. For those looking to enjoy a fine dining night or looking to just share conversation over a beer, restaurants like The Terre Haute Brewing Company, M.Moggers, and Umi Grill, are now open to everyone and ready to give you a nice night out. Take a night to visit one of the oldest breweries in the country, explore a deeply historic restaurant, or try some international cuisine. All will provide a fun night out that we’ve all missed so much. These are only a few of the amazing and delicious restaurants Terre Haute is proud to have. For a full list, check out our website. Supporting all these locally owned businesses not only allows for you to get delicious food, but it helps the community as a whole.
