Pioneer Days at Fowler Park

Terre Haute ignites the fall season with an exciting array of festivals and fall events, beginning in August with Wine on the Wabash on Aug. 16 or attend the Alabama concert at Terre Haute's newest outdoor concert venue, The Mill on Aug. 7.

September features the city's the newest addition, the first-ever Wabash Valley Pepper Fest & Hot Sauce Expo on Sept. 28, 2025. This spicy celebration features live music, a taco challenge, a chili cook-off, and the intense League of Fire Hot Pepper Eating Contest - promising a fiery experience for food lovers. Other fun fall festival favorites include Music at the Crossroads on Sept. 5, offering live performances and family fun, and the Terre Haute Balloon Fest on Sept. 12-13, showcasing a mesmerizing balloon glow, tethered rides, food trucks, and other fun-filled activities. Step back in time at Old Fashion Days at the historic Collett Park Sept. 14 with live music, hayrides, and crafts. Get into nature at Explore Wabashiki on Sept. 20 with guided tours of the wetlands and family activities. 

Fall also brings the beloved annual Pioneer Days at Fowler Park on Oct. 4-5 where historical demonstrations and fall food favorites meet in an authentic pioneer village setting. Rock out with ZZ Top at The Mill on Oct. 10. Haunted Haute on Oct. 31 will feature family fun with trunk or treating all along the historic downtown streets with vendors and activities.
