Stars and Stripes in TerFireworks at LaVern Gibsonredise is Terre Haute’s official year-long celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. Launched by the City of Terre Haute in partnership with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, Terre Haute will transform its original Crossroads of America into the ultimate patriotic road-trip destination.

Throughout 2026, residents and visitors will enjoy major events including Birthday on the Bash (June 27), the Frontier Day Parade and City of Terre Haute fireworks (July 4), and the 2026 Terre Haute Air Show (August 22-23), and culminating in the NCAA D1 Cross Country NationPeople toasting beer at the Haute Hops and Vines eventals (November 21). Special installations, contests, and red-white-and-blue programming will spotlight the city’s museums, public art, historic districts, parks, restaurants, and iconic landmarks like the Larry Bird Museumthe birthplace of the contour Coca-Cola bottle, and the home of Indiana's only saint - Mother Theodore Guerin
